Job Description

  • Ability to reaching out to stakeholders, network, engage and collaborate with multiple teams.​
  • Drive teams to deliver well documented, reproducible and measurable innovations. ​
  • Has a broad knowledge of product development at NIQ and can think E2E from conceptualization to delivery.​
  • Ability to build business case think on content, capability and capability building for the team​
  • Is Technically proficient and at the same time has an understanding on business implications and client understanding.​
  • Is able to lead and if required execute on tasks​
  • Reviews the progress of projects and POCs and proposes improvements and constructive critiques.
  • Works with manager, colleagues, and other stakeholders such as Program team, Product Leaders, Senior Data Science Leaders and others.​
  • Influences, collaborates, and sets clear priorities & expectations for teams and stakeholders.​
  • Ability to work in matrix environment.
  • Is able to think E2E across various functions within Data Science in order to be able to deploy global innovations​
  • Constructively reviews the product/ methodology and ensures support in launch of new global products. ​
  • Is aware of scientific trends in defined lines of research with high impact on the business.​
  • Collates all initiatives / innovations done at a market level to idenitify opportunities to scale innovations.​
  • Defines / designs and owns execution of Data Science teams and/or initiatives, applications or projects to deliver robust, reproducible and quality data-driven PoCs or applications.​
  • Documents all Process, develops Roles and Responsibilities, ensures smooth operations of priorities
  • Can effectively execute data-driven initiatives independently to required expectations, plan and report on lines of research and PoCs.​
  • Can design effective solutions to complex technical challenges.​
  • Effectively manages stakeholders and sets clear priorities and expectations for their team and stakeholders. ​
  • Lives the Nielsen Operating Principles, and coaches & develops others acting as a Talent multiplier.​
  • Identifies the potential impact of the research performed within their teams and proposes research papers that can potentially be published, as well as White Papers and Patents.

Qualifications

7+ years; Awareness of R / Python; ML / AI tools. Statistics Background preferred

  • Comfortable designing solutions and driving a team to execute complex innovations and initiatives .​
  • Makes smart architectural decisions to ensure optimum performance and results.​
  • Displays innovative thinking and encourages. experimentation in delivery of work.​
  • Can support others to understand and apply more complicated technical principles & methodologies, creating clarity and focus for teams to deliver.​
  • Expert knowledge in programming, software engineering, statistical analysis/machine learning/deep learning​
  • Has a publication track of at least 3 scientific papers on relevant conferences or journals.
  • Expert problem solver in their domain, applying logical reasoning to solve the most difficult problems.​
  • Can identify data sources, connections, and patterns that are not readily apparent or available to solve problems and influence decisions.​
  • Fosters an environment of innovation, experimentation, and inclusion in solving problems, seeking and embracing diversity of thought.​
  • Identifies and embraces new and innovative methodologies in solving challenging problems.​
  • Utilizes and contributes to new external innovations in solving industry wide challenges in their domain.​
  • Guides and encourages analytical and data driven mindset for the other team members​

  • Ability to solution for functional and non-functional requirements.​
