Our Data Science teams help to provide NielsenIQ’s clients with the most complete understanding of the market and its consumers. As a Data Scientist, you’ll be part of a team of smart, highly skilled data scientists who design and develop models to enable clients to use our data effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a business partner to Commercial and Operations leaders

  • Provides expert technical and methodological consultation with internal and external clients and solves complex Data Science-related issues (client facing)

  • Ensures Nielsen services are delivered to the highest quality standards

  • Provides service specifications to the operations teams and collaborates with them on methodologies to ensure these meet client requirements

  • Drives the roll-out of new or enhanced services providing an integrated statistical vision

  • Act as a Data Science country contact and liaison for all Data Science related methodology and execution topics to stakeholders

  • Innovate and create out of the box solutions by leveraging large and diverse data sets and state of the art technologies.

  • Collaborate and align with other Data Science team units to deliver and prioritize objectives.

  • Enable Data Science technology solutions on the ground and ensure solutions meets client needs.

  • Leverage Product Enhancement, Product and Technology teams to bring to the market services and solutions.

  • Contribute to identifying third parties and evaluate their capabilities and data sets in order to develop new solutions.

  • Design and conduct studies, tests and use advanced analytics techniques to build proof of concept and prototypes for use cases.

QUALIFICATION

  • 2 years of professional experience, preferably in the FMCG industry

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and expertise in statistical and database software (R/Python)

  • An efficient and creative problem-solver with an exceptional aptitude for data analysis (ability to use statistical methodologies to analyze the data)

  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • A strong communicator who is able to explain technical issues in a non-technical way

  • Excited by challenges, pro-actively interacting with others, an enthusiastic and flexible team player

  • Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure

  • Broad industry knowledge of Nielsen reports and methodologies is a benefit

  • Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to effectively interface across cross-functional technology teams and the business
