As a Principal Data Scientist, you’ll be part of a team of smart, highly skilled experts. We design and implement models which enable our clients to answer their most important business questions based on NielsenIQ’s unparalleled data.

What You’ll Do 

• Devise, test, and implement approaches from the fields of machine learning and statistical modeling to meet commercial requirements

• Stay abreast of developments in the area to ensure bringing the most appropriate solutions to our business

• Collaboratively manage projects from timeline creation to project completion, managing expectations with leaders and colleagues

• Actively participate in interdisciplinary project discussions with colleagues from commercial, operational, IT and management departments

• Document tests and implemented approaches, provide material and run sessions with IT and operations to hand over new approaches into production

• Train more junior colleagues on our databases, systems and approaches, efficient methods for extraction and analysis, and best practices

We’re looking for people who have

• Master degree or PhD in mathematics, Data Science or a closely related field

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Scientist in the business

• Strong knowledge of statistical modelling,data mining,predictive analytics,machine learning

• Experience modelling fast moving consumer goods sales

• High proficiency in Data Science tools like Python, PySpark, DataBricks

• Experience working with a development team to deploy models in cloud environments

• Established experience as a Data Scientist within a commercial environment

• Strong problem solving and communication skills, independent working style
