About the Department
Swiss Re Asset Management manages the assets generated through the core insurance and reinsurance business.
Asset Management IT ensures stable investment platforms and trade lifecycle management while delivering meaningful, timely financial data, enabling our customers to support AM's overall business performance. It also expands business processes automation and efficiency across the value chain through workflow solutions and robotics development.
About the Team (we are called COOBS)
Our motto is: COOBS... your closest IT friend. We are globally dispersed team of 12, best mix of internals, externals, diverse culture backgrounds. We partner with our business clients to support their activities. It includes development of reconciliations, automation of the processes via robots or Microsoft's Power platform, visualisation and insights into data in Power BI paginated as well interactive. We ensure we extract and report right and correct data to regulators on time. In line with our motto, we also dedicate time to gain new skills to be enabler for our clients.
About the Role
As Data Analyst / Engineer in COOBS, you would work on functional and technology initiatives using innovative data, cloud and integration technologies. Data Analyst / Engineer develops end to end applications, dealing with database, client side and server-side components, and basic UI and integration of applications. Data Analyst / Engineer solves technical problems of various levels of complexity. We take ownership of code and ship features, bug fixes, and improvements with support from other team members when needed
We work with customers and other colleagues needed to deliver a product.
The ideal candidate has an experience working backwards from the product design to understand the true requirements underlying feature requests.
