About the role

We are looking for curious, analytical individuals with a passion for the power of data to join our iptiQ?Americas Data Science & Analytics team.

The Data Analytics Professional will lead, collaborate, and contribute to the success of iptiQ Americas by using broad data, advanced analytics, and modern technology to support intelligent business decisions. Responsibilities include all or some of the following:

  • Download and distill large sets of data into insights to support different areas of the organization, not limited to Sales & Marketing, Operations and Underwriting
  • Create data visualizations to enable automated tracking of important metrics
  • Communicate patterns and trends in the data to non-technical audiences in a clear and concise way that supports smart decision-making
  • Support account management and distribution partners by consulting with key stakeholders and providing insightful analysis as requested to improve business outcomes
  • Deliver results by managing junior analysts, supporting processes, and driving end-to-end analysis from conception to implementation of potential solutions

About the Data & Analytics team

As a member of iptiQ America's Data Science & Analytics team, you will help to influence, shape, and optimize business strategy and operations. The team strives for best in class data, analytics, and application practices in Swiss Re and in the insurance industry. 

About You

  • BA/BS degree in Math, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Econometrics, Epidemiology, Psychology, Engineering, Computer Science, Decision Science, Business Management, or other quantitative sciences.
  • 7 – 10 years of experience in data and analysis related practices.
  • Insurance industry experiences preferred but not required.
  • Conceptual skills to understand and characterize business needs, and to design tailored analytical solutions.
  • Proficiency with MS Office products.
  • Experience with at least one statistical package such as Python, R, SAS, MATLAB, SPSS and Stata etc. a plus.
  • Exposure to qualitative analytics applied in surveys and market research a plus.

Ancillary Requirements

  • Highly capable of explaining technical topics with clarity and effectiveness.
  • Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance.
  • Team leader/player with a can do attitude. 
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced and flexible work environment.
