About the role

Glad you’re interested! We’re looking for a determined data engineer to help craft our digital solutions and change the way insurance is bought online. No more insurance talk that only a lawyer understands, we’re here to make a difference!

You would be designing and implementing data pipelines and data models in close collaboration with our analytics and other engineering teams plus improve our cloud base data infrastructure (Amazon AWS). Focusing on balancing scale and performance with a pragmatic approach

At the same time improve existing data models ensuring availability, governance and quality while implementing new business capabilities. Last but not least delivering high-quality code, focusing on correctness, simplicity, performance and maintainability.

This is what we will look for

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in building data pipelines and using data technologies,
• Experience in software engineering in any modern language (Python, Java, Scala, Kotlin …) or equivalent,
• Strong experience with SQL/NoSQL datastores. Experience of Timeseries DBs and other distributed systems is a plus
• Willingness to work with individuals in different time zones and cultures, and familiarity with a fast-paced startup environment
• Ability to speak and write English fluently
