Job Description

Overview:

Data Engineering Lead with experience of 12+ years of experience on Data Engineering on cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS) and Databricks.

Position: Lead Data Engineer - CAS (P2)

Primary Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible to understand the client requirement and architect robust data platform on cloud technologies (AWS).
• You will be responsible for creating reusable and scalable data pipelines.
• You will be responsible for development and deployment of new data platforms.

Basic Qualifications:

• 6+ years of technology experience in Software Development
• Bachelor's Degree (required) and 6 years experience; or Master’s Degree (preferred) and 4 years experience. Preferred fields include Computer Science,

Engineering, MIS or related business discipline(s).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Work closely with the Product Owners and stake holders to design the Technical Architecture for data platform to meet the requirements of the proposed solution.
• Strong coding skills in Python.
• Experience AWS cloud and AWS services such as S3 Buckets, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS queues.
• Experience with data engineering using Databricks preferred.
• Work with the leadership to set the standards for software engineering practices.
• Experience with software DevOps CI/CD tools, such Git, Jenkins, Linux, and Shell Script.
• Experience with Security, performance, and Project compliance and processes.
• Implement process improvements to streamline process.
• Understanding of infrastructure (including hosting, container-based deployments and storage architectures) would be advantageous
• Ability to explain a concept with clarity to the present stakeholders.
• Ability to provide coaching and guidance to juniors.
