Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with data engineers and data steward to identify process improvements in the modeling life cycle and assess the quality of data.
  • Monitor and maintain the models currently in production and leverage external research and feedback from stakeholders to periodically enhance and improve these computer models.
  • Explore issues in computing, leverage large HR and other related datasets and develop theories and models to assist leaders and HR business partners to make data-driven decisions.
  • Develop and deploy scalable advanced decision support models and predictive algorithms improve the software systems that influence important decisions for customers in areas such as talent, rewards and workforce planning.
  • Manage cross-functional data science projects, define project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and communicate the progress to project stakeholders.
  • Mentor team members on various tasks, including cleansing and exploring large datasets, testing hypotheses, conducting statistical analysis, and building and deploying predictive models.
  • Review code, models, insights, and prepare final reports and presentations accompanied by effective data visualization and storytelling for delivery.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Statistics, Computer Science or a related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience in data science or a related field. In the alternative, must have at least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Statistics, Computer Science or a related field and at least 3 years of experience in data science or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience with coding in a statistical programming language such as R, Python, or SAS
  • At least 3 years of experience in data wrangling skills (R, Python, SAS, or SQL) and creating datasets from multiple databases or file formats
  • At least 3 years of experience working with Generalized Linear Models (GLM) and Statistical Methods (such as Log-linear Regression, Logistic Regression, Hypothesis Testing and Inference, Correlation)
  • Demonstrable experience analyzing structured and unstructured data, and building scalable machine learning models for various tasks such as regression, classification, clustering, recommender engines
  • Demonstrable experience applying natural language processing (NLP) techniques to large amounts of open-text data (such as Deep Learning, NER, Word2Vec, Topic Modeling)
  • Demonstrable experience with Time Series Forecasting, Bagging and Boosting Algorithms, SVM, and Neural Networks
