As a 2023 Intern at Autodesk Research, you’ll work towards building advanced robotics software, capabilities, and applications. We are a team of researchers, engineers, and industry domain experts working on projects involving reinforcement learning, deep learning, computer vision, grasping, motion planning, simulation, human-robot cooperation and more, focused on robotic applications in manufacturing and construction.
We are looking for an intern interested in grasping and manipulation, with a strong background in computer vision and sensor fusion and an interest in extending the state of the art in grasp identification and analysis.
Within the Autodesk Robotics Lab, we have state of the art industrial robotics, in-house computing and sensing systems for building full systems demonstrations, and as part of the research facility at Pier 9 in San Francisco we have a large selection of workshop and fabrication facilities. Autodesk's Robotics Lab is active in the wider research community, targeting publications at ICRA, IROS and other top-tier conferences. We collaborate with top academic labs, combining the best of an academic environment with product-driven research.
You will work on-site in our San Francisco robotics lab with domain experts in robotics, AI, and manufacturing.

About the US Intern Program
The 2023 U.S. program runs for 12 weeks (May 22 – August 11 or June 12 – September 1) and will be remote (subject to change). All internships are paid. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects, be mentored by industry leaders, work alongside peers from universities all over the country and participate in tech talks and other activities designed to support your personal and professional development. US recruiting begins in the Fall and concludes end of March. Our Internships align with Autodesk’s Flexible Workplace approach, which is designed to meet the needs of our business while providing flexibility in support of office, remote and hybrid work preferences.
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting annualized base salary between $20,300 and $35,200. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
