Job Description

As a Software Engineering Manager, you will manage multiple development projects and/or application support functions for a major business segment. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of multiple, complex, organization-wide systems all the while providing solutions or recommendations on complicated technology issues for application development and implementation. Additionally, you will use subject matter / functional expertise and influence to help identify and meet high priority needs as well as defining processes for integration, preparation, and delivery of solutions. And finally, you will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with our clients to help ensure the implementation quality of application systems.

Preferred skillsets to be successful in this role include but are not limited to:

  • Hands on experience with Automations RPA - Automation Anywhere, Virtual Assistant- Kore.ai
  • Experience in implementing Intelligent Automation solutions using AI/ML
  • Hands on experience with Java, Micro services, OpenShift Platform
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of latest trends in Generative AI, LLM's
  • Experience in implementing automation solutions in financial services/ Banking
  • Experience in Architecture and Design of software applications
  • Leadership/management experience
  • Preferred candidates will be self-starters who have the passion for solving business problems using advanced tools and developing data-driven narratives
  • Candidates should have a high degree of curiosity and innovativeness, especially on the use and experimentation of AI/ML techniques and approaches
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to clearly communicate business strategies and technical concepts to all management levels

  • Manages development projects, development teams and application support functions.
  • Oversees multiple application programming and analysis projects which include development, installation and maintenance of application programs.
  • Monitors and maintains adherence and compliance to quality standards on an ongoing basis.
  • Maximizes staff contribution through professional growth and development, to increase teamwork and more effectively meet business needs.
  • Analyzes applications to ensure that all systems that are developed, meet business needs and specifications.

Competencies

Application Delivery Process – Knowledge of major tasks, deliverables, and formal application delivery methodologies; ability to utilize these in order to deliver new or enhanced applications.

Application Development Tools – Knowledge of and ability to utilize a variety of specific tools and toolkits for the development and support of applications.

IT Environment – Knowledge of an organization's IT purposes, activities and standards; ability to create an effective IT environment for business operations.

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 5+ years of industry-relevant experience. At least 3 years of prior management experience is typically required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
