The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As an MLOps Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Working closely with our data science team to create, manage, and optimize machine learning systems using the Azure cloud and its Machine Learning tools
• Designing, constructing, and maintaining the Machine learning pipelines that allow our data scientists to develop, deploy, and monitor predictive models in Azure.
• Administration, maintenance, and support for a custom CI/CD pipeline framework used to deploy infrastructure and applications to Azure / AWS
• Collaborate with the data platform team to create a feedback loop and improve the underlying data infrastructure
• Evolve our framework as new technologies and techniques emerge
• Work closely with security and regulatory teams to produce secure code that meets stringent global requirements

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university 
• OR 

• High School Diploma/GED (completed and verified prior to start) and a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Information Technology
• Eight (8) years of DevOps experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Proven experience as an MLOps Engineer, Data Engineer, or similar role in a data-focused environment.
• Deep knowledge and practical experience with Azure cloud platform, Azure Machine Learning, and other Azure AI services.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and understanding of machine learning concepts.
• Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools, specifically in the Azure environment (Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps Pipelines).
• Proficiency in Python, Conda and SQL; familiarity with other programming languages is a plus.
• Knowledge of the Nvidia Inferencing Stack and Triton
• Ability to ramp up quickly on technologies with little to no exposure, multi-task, learn, and work independently
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and team collaboration skills
