As part of our Student Excellence Program you will be trained and developed in parallel in a working student position over a period of 12 to 24 months. Become part of the German and European Student Excellence network of 3M extensive professional and methodical induction and further training in the areas of Lean and Lean Six Sigma.In order to accompany you on your way, consisting of project-related activities and exciting hands-on experiences, you will be provided with a personal coach and mentor.On successful completion of the program there is also the option of writing a final thesis after the program.

Your contribution to our mutual success

As a working student (*) in the field of Data Science Manufacturing as part of our Student Excellence Program at the Wuppertal location, you have the opportunity to use your knowledge in a targeted manner to advance our mutual success. Your area of ​​responsibility includes:

• Independent implementation of sub-projects in the field of data automation and digitization (Industry 4.0)
• Participation in an investment project in an interdisciplinary team
• Support in the analysis, documentation and optimization of (production) processes
• Analysis and processing of data for automated reports
• Development and initiation of measures to increase productivity and efficiency as well as quality optimization

These are your competencies

• You are currently studying a technical bachelor’s or master’s degree (e.g. computer science, engineering, business engineering or similar)
• Interest in working on new technologies and processes in a production-related environment
• You are able to think analytically and work in a structured manner
• Good knowledge of SQL, Power BI or programming
• Good knowledge of German and English

This additional knowledge is an advantage:

• First knowledge of PI Vision
• You like working in a team
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
