What is the department group responsible for?

  • Franklin Templeton’s NodeOps team is responsible for building Blockchain Nodes and working on exciting new technologies that will shape the future of Franklin Templeton. They also enable faster development of new products and easier maintenance of existing deployments & finally, optimize both the productivity of developers and the reliability of operations.

What is the position title responsible for?

  • We are seeking a Engineer-NodeOps who can provide broad technical expertise and solutions that align with enterprise architecture standards; Performs the leadership, facilitates analysis and design tasks required to ensure that systems are designed and mature appropriately and effectively, Works closely with our business groups to understand their business process, information needs and work with members across other teams and plays an integral role in partnering with DevOps, Architecture, Application Development, Testing and Operations, along with Cloud Architecture and Engineering teams to enable continuous deployment while practicing and promoting reliability engineering principles through self-service and automation.

What is an Engineer - NodeOps responsible for?

  • Architect, develop and improve our release process using container and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes
  • Develop and improve overall cloud deployed infrastructure services reliability, resiliency, scalability, and observability.
  • Implement secure by design architecture and cloud security best practices.
  • The ideal self-driven candidate will possess strong communication, leadership, and versatile technical skills, along with a hunger for learning, understanding and internal client engagement with a drive to create new, impactful next generation solutions.
  • Excellent communications skills, capable of working with cross functional technical and business teams and varying levels of management, in a professional manner.

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or 7+ years of equivalent, hands-on technology experience in large enterprise environments.
  • AWS, Azure, certifications are strongly preferred, demonstrating an understanding of core concepts.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience of progressive systems engineering and integration within agile focused organizations implementing complex solutions.
  • Strong sense of ownership wanting to understand how things work and resolve root causes
  • Ability to encourage and foster a culture of visibility and transparency across teams
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Sound knowledge on Block chain technologies.
  • Strong Expertise on Continuous Integration / Delivery /Deployment /testing & Monitoring.
  • Expertise on Linux OS & Scripting .
  • Strong expertise on Python.
  • Expertise on Cloud Platforms.
  • Knowledge on Machine Learning

Job Level - Individual Contributor

There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the salary for this position to range between $150,000 - $170,000
