What is the Distribution Intelligence Analyst – Distribution Intelligence responsible for?

A Distribution Intelligence Analyst is responsible for making data actionable and insightful for the organization. This may be in the form of static reports, interactive dashboards, visual analyses, data science, and more.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Distribution Intelligence Analyst?

  • Provide reports, dashboards, and analyses primarily for internal audiences. With guidance, he/she will produce reports and analyses of the distribution organization’s progress against KPIs.
    • Reports on metrics for distribution such as: sales, assets under management, client engagement, market share, among others. 
    • The organization’s execution of strategic priorities.
    • Salesperson progress to sales targets and metrics.
    • Client Engagement across mediums (web, email, calls, visits, etc.).
    • The organizations position in the industry, across asset classes, vs. key competitors and overall.
    • The analyst will additionally facilitate the development of leads and insights that can guide client coverage and strategy.
  • Meet with internal partners (salesperson or business unit), to understand business need, translate the business need into a deliverable (custom report and/or dashboard) and be responsible for the delivery and the quality of such reports/dashboards.
  • Define data needs, report logic, and output format to best meet the needs of the internal partner.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to internal partners on dashboards and reports thorough internal & external research by leveraging technology and analytical tools to meet partner demands.
  • Test/UAT data analytics solutions to ensure complete and accurate results are being distributed and maintained.
  • Thinks outside of the current function and deliverables to produce innovative thought and solutions for the organization.

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be Successful?

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
  • Data-Driven Storytelling
  • with various individuals/teams within the firm.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workflow and to coordinate with other team members
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in Power BI & Other Data Visualization tools
  • Hands on experience with SQL / AWS Snowflake
  • Skills in Python, R, NLP, Alteryx, SAP BI, Social Media mining would be an advantage.
