Job Description

MISSION:

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for designing, developing and optimizing, from a technical point of view, advanced AI models to implement the AI ​​value proposition within Telefónica's strategy. The AI ​​products area has a transversal nature and gives response to various areas such as marketing, maximizing the effectiveness of our commercial and sales strategies with personalized recommendation solutions. You will use your skills in data science, machine learning and data analysis to, for example, create systems that drive personalization of offers to our customers. In addition, you will collaborate closely with the research and innovation teams and with other teams in the OBs of the Telefonica footprint to develop and productize these solutions in the different markets.

POSITION FUNCTIONS :

THE CANDIDATE will be in charge of implementing AI products on Kernel at Telefónica, developing the AI ​​products, as well as the evolution of their roadmap. Working alongside a team of expert data scientists and AI engineers, and with other related areas such as the data team, Integration, and other Global areas, as well as Business and CDO areas of the OBs of the Telefonica footprint. Among its functions will be:

• Develop AI Products: Design and build AI products, specifically algorithms, initially more focused on recommendation solutions based on Next Best Offer using machine learning techniques and data analysis to personalize offers for our clients.
• Data Management: Supervise the acquisition, cleaning and preparation of data necessary for recommendation models. Ensure data integrity and availability for analysis.
• Technology leadership: mentor a team of data scientists. Provide training and mentoring for the professional growth of the team.
• Continuous Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve the accuracy and effectiveness of recommendation models through testing and adjustments.
• Communicating Results: Effectively present results and recommendations to leadership teams and key stakeholders.
• Research and Development: Stay abreast of the latest trends in data science and machine learning, and apply new approaches to our recommendation models.

SCOPE OF CONTRIBUTION OF THE POSITION:

The scope of contribution of the position is global, and covers the set of strategic competencies necessary for the development of the different CCDO/CDO business activities; The main focus will be on AI product developments in Kernel; Kernel is Telefónica's digital transformation technology platform. · Requires direct dialogue with the corporate areas and management of CDO and the countries of Telefónica's footprint, being more active with Spain, Germany, Brazil and the UK

KNOWLEDGE :

• Bachelor's Degree in Physics/Mathematics/Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science or related field
• Demonstrable experience in the design, development and deployment of AI models, especially large-scale recommendation systems
• In-depth knowledge of Reinforcement Learning, Deep Neural Network, Ensembles Models, Generative models, and desirable, Operational Research
• Experience in developing and putting into production Big Data products
• In-depth knowledge of programming tools and languages ​​such as Python, R, PySpark, PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, etc.
• Project leadership experience
• Effective communication.

Minimum 10 years with experience as a Data Scientist (preferably in the AI ​​or telecommunications sector) in the creation of advanced AI products/solutions in the different design, development and production phases. Previous experience in project management.
