The Data & Analytics Platform Senior Product Manager plays a critical role in delivering value through data and analytics to ICE Mortgage Technology customers and stakeholders. The successful candidate will help define the strategy, drive requirements, and lead the roadmap for a newly established data platform while also maintaining and creating a sunset plan for a legacy data platform. 

Success will require you to lead and collaborate cross functionally with Product, Engineering, Professional Services, Operations, Compliance, Legal, Customer Support, Sales, Marketing, and Leadership teams across the ICE enterprise. Having excellent communication and collaboration skills, an entrepreneurial bent, excellent technical and analytical understanding, product management expertise, good judgment, and deep background in building scalable systems will allow you to thrive in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively to develop the strategic direction for the Data Platform and its required capabilities to support data and analytic products across the enterprise.
  • Evangelize the platform strategy across internal and external organizations.
  • Develop a deep understanding of data sources, where they are stored, how they are accessed and used in downstream data and analytic products. 
  • Oversee the data platform data lake strategy to ensure strong data governance to optimize data quality and ensure downstream data and analytic products are of the highest quality.
  • Proactively work with colleagues across the ICE enterprise to gather input, articulate platform requirements, define and measure success.
  • Build, manage and execute the platform roadmap.
  • Build compelling business cases and effectively communicate the investment rationale.
  • Prioritize the backlog to optimize for revenue and cost.
  • Collaborate with peers to define cross product strategies.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge regarding mortgage industry, new data and analytic technologies and analytical trends as well as other ICE product lines.

Work alongside stakeholders including product leadership, program management, engineering, architecture, and QA to execute the end-to-end platform development lifecycle:

  • Ensure requirements are captured in a timely manner for planned releases, requirements are documented in Confluence and share with various stakeholders to ensure alignment. Work closely to gather feedback, understand technical limitations, feasibility, costing and estimates. Plan POCs as required to explore feasibility, technical limitations, and estimates for the new requirements.
  • Plan release cycles, finalize scope and establish milestone dates. Ensure cross-functional dependencies are communicated and managed. Communicate release timeline and gain required approvals. Ensure planned work is completed on schedule and provide business justification for OD releases. Maintain product roadmaps.
  • Participate in daily stand ups, resolve outstanding questions, manage Jira tickets for upcoming work, participate in grooming to ensure requirements and scope are fully understood, modify approach as needed based on feedback from the team. Resolve cross functional dependencies by collaborating with relevant counter parts. 
  • Prioritize Jira stories based on agreed upon priorities and release plan, assist in sprint planning, work with QA to identify issues and triage defects, represent the business and provide feedback to the team throughout the development process.

Work alongside product leaders, data analysts and data scientists to explore new use cases for ICE data assets. Understand data requirements, goals of exploratory data analysis and product goals to ensure platform capabilities support future product development.

  • Engage with team on data extraction protocols, outcomes from analysis requiring further due diligence, function as the go between to engineering to ensure platform functionality is aligned with product goals.
  • Participate in new product innovation and development and ensure existing products are highly performant aligning functional teams of platform, analytics, and business to optimize revenue and customer satisfaction.

Knowledge and Experience

  • An innovative thinker with excellent analytic skills who has a proven ability to identify requirements that enable the platform vision to result in successful data solutions.
  • Proven ability to understand business and engineering perspectives to create stories that deliver solutions.
  • Ability to analyze and clearly communicate business and functional requirements as a key input to the product development process.
  • Prior experience working with cross-functional teams, excellent collaboration skills.
  • Strong and proven business/commercial skills.
  • Ability to learn fast and ask questions to solve problems.
  • Track record of working effectively with remote teams.
  • Incredible written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter, action oriented and hands-on approach to work.
  • Customer and market centric to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated as well as a strong team player.
  • ~15% travel
  • 8+ years of product management experience in data platform, data and analytic products required; relevant industry experience is highly desirable.
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, engineering or equivalent required; MBA desirable.

Schedule

This role offers work from home flexibility of up to 2 days per week.
