This is a position with ICE Clear Credit (ICC), a subsidiary of ICE Group. ICC is the world’s largest systemically important clearinghouse for credit default swaps (CDS). ICC is an entrepreneurial and aggressive organization that implements world-class risk management solutions for the CDS marketplace. A successful candidate maintains a hands-on pragmatic approach with an understanding of the dynamics of the financial marketplace. ?ICC Systems span:

  • OLTP systems for managing business and system workflows
  • Distributed batch processing systems for quantitative risk analytics
  • Enterprise Integration systems for ETL and Data Feed Management 
  • Reporting systems for Member, Regulatory and Compliance 
  • User Interface systems for the external marketplace

As a Senior QA Analyst, you will partner with System Analysts, Development and System Operations to ensure business, technical, and operational requirements are satisfied within the required time frame with no adverse impact to existing functionality or operational processes. ?As a member of the QA team, you are responsible for every line of code delivered into customer facing environments. This is achieved by first understanding the business, technical, and operational requirements and then building comprehensive test scenarios which are reviewed with the project team. ?The candidate must be a team player that can work independently, escalating issues when appropriate. Our fluid team works well together and can take constructive criticism in the spirit of improving software quality. 

Hybrid and remote work schedules available for candidates with access to ICE U.S. office locations

Hybrid work schedules with at least 2 days in Chicago, IL or Atlanta, GA office preferred 

Responsibilities

  • Work with other teams to understand business and technical requirements and design, develop and execute testing of relevant functionality 
  • Develop detailed test scenarios including user interface to backend server and service modules
  • Develop associated test data, execute test cases, and report any defects encountered 
  • Accountable for establishing and evolving test coverage that aligns with existing test strategies
  • Establish and contribute to reports that establish quality metrics

Knowledge and Experience

  •  Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science or Management Information Systems
  • 5+ years’ experience in software QA/Testing preferably on one or more large, highly transactional systems deployed and used in production.
  • 3+ years’ experience working in UNIX/Linux and SQL/Oracle environments.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment and deliver quality software to production within tight schedules Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Strong organizational skills and decision-making ability. 
  • Ability to adjust to rapidly changing requirements and timelines
  • Reports activities to management through daily stand-up meetings, formal updates, project team meeting and other reports as needed. 
  • Track record of completing assignments on time with a high degree of quality 
  • Adheres to corporate and department standards, policies and procedures. Contributes to the development and refinement of department standards, processes and procedures
  • Researches and recommends technology solutions
  • Strong knowledge of Java and object-oriented system technologies
  • Solid knowledge of development practices and application architecture 
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Develops knowledge and/or experience in the following areas: Business functionality, High level programming languages, Operations, Technical Support and Production Control operating environment, Department standards, guidelines and procedures
  • Experience with Microservice/SOA based architecture

Preferred 

  • 2+ years of experience at a financial institution (major bank, hedge fund, prop shop) in their?financial markets technology departments
  • Prefer knowledge of OTC Credit Derivatives and/or other OTC derivatives – CDS, Structured Products, Interest Rate Products, Options
  • Experience with NoSQL and big?data
  • Experience using one or more of the following: JMS, REST, WebSockets, Kafka, Redis

Schedule

This role offers work from home flexibility of up to 3 days per week.
