Job Description

The Senior Technology Enterprise Risk Analyst is part of the Global Enterprise Risk Management (“ERM”) team with specific responsibilities across ICE Futures Europe, ICE Endex, ICE Futures Abu Dhabi and ICE Benchmark Administration and other ICE entities including the parent company. 

The candidate will be responsible for assisting with the implementation and oversight of each entities risk framework including: risk register, risk appetite, establishing of oversight metrics and ongoing reporting as part of the second line. The role will be focused on understanding the business impacts of technology risks and ensuring that the first line has appropriate controls in place to manage those risks. The candidate will also be required to support the wider ERM team in developing reporting capabilities and taking part in ‘deep dive’ assessments across the whole business which will include a broader scope than technology risk. Therefore, a desire to understand the wider business environment and to be motivated with the broad exposure the role provides is critical.

Responsibilities

• Acting as an expert sounding board for the business on technology risk related matters, whilst providing appropriate challenge to first line functions.
• Develop strong and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the 3 lines within ICE group.
• Contribute to risk identification on an ongoing basis, horizon scanning including maintaining industry awareness, best practice insights, regulatory and technological developments.
• Contribute to the maintenance of the risk framework (risk register, risk appetite metrics, management thresholds, Risk and Controls Self-Assessment (“RCSA”))
• Assist with the development and production of quality risk (including technology) reporting to governance structures, including the creative use of data to provide risk insights to the business
• Become an SME and key contact for matters relating to Technology Risk Management and Oversight.
• Providing challenge to the first line risk controls and threshold limit monitoring,
• Contributing to ‘deep dives’ risk assessments as required.
• Review incident root cause, challenging the business during post incident review activities

Knowledge and Experience

• Experience in financial services (FMI preferable) and/or risk management (technology preferable)
• Knowledge of technology frameworks and practices (e.g. COBIT5)
• Experience of data modelling and visualization (tableau preferable)
• Understanding of information security principles and practices.
• Bachelor’s degree (preferable STEM subject)
• Critical, creative thinker with an ability to see the bigger picture while working with detail
• Maturity and self-awareness, ability to listen actively, to build strong collaborative relationships at all levels.
• Effective written and verbal communication around technical concepts and business stakeholder presentation.
• Confidence, and ability to question / provide challenge to members of the first line.
• Self stater that’s able to work collaboratively as part of a team but also drive and deliver projects autonomously.
• Interest in financial markets and supporting technology.

Desirable

• Risk/IT certification: e.g. CRISC, CISM, IRM
• Understanding of financial markets
• ServiceNow / JIRA / SharePoint / Tableau / Excel
• Familiarity with Operational Risk Scenario analysis
