Job Description

The New York Stock Exchange, a subsidiary of Intercontinental Exchange, Inc., is seeking a Manager of Surveillance Technology to join NYSE Regulation. The candidate will work closely with surveillance/regulatory staff to develop new and enhanced surveillances.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, and design new surveillances to identify potential misconduct on NYSE markets
• Build cross-market surveillance prototypes using Consolidated Audit Trail data
• Work closely with NYSE Regulation staff to understand surveillance requirements and related exchange rules
• Refine surveillance prototypes based on changing market conditions
• Participate in annual surveillance assessment reviews and implement enhancements
• Assist with user acceptance testing and support
• Analyze trading data to identify and develop topics for risk-based reviews
• Monitor developments and trends associated with market structure and trading on the NYSE exchanges
• Represent NYSE Regulation in working groups and industry initiatives

Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Finance with a minimum of eight years of experience; Master’s degree preferred, although work experience can be a substitute for an advanced degree
• Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, data-structured languages, and big data
• Hands-on experience in building statistical, machine learning, and deep learning models
• Previous experience with management of trade surveillance systems is desirable
• Understanding of equities and options trading, market structure, and US securities laws, regulations, and rules is highly desirable
• Curiosity and ability to grasp broader needs of business and regulation stakeholders
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment while handling multiple projects at the same time

Schedule

This role offers work from home flexibility of up to 2 days per week. 

The expected base salary for this role is between 180,000 - 220,000 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange’s incentive compensation. While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual.
