Our Star Wars FPS team is looking for an experienced Senior Enemy/AI Animator who will embrace our philosophy and share their hard-earned expertise to create an incredible Star Wars experience for our players. What you'll do…

  • Reporting to the Lead Animator and work closely with Principal AI animator, you will create a variety of challenging enemies for our players to encounter, ranging from bipedal to creatures, within Maya.
  • Able to visualize motion on a fantasy character, hand key it in Maya and make it look believable.
  • You'll work closely with Tech Anim department and give them feedback on rigging fantasy AI characters that you will animate.
  • Work with Motion Capture data in Maya and be able to add flair to it with key frame technique for gameplay purposes.
  • Implement animations into the project's engine with full ownership of your work.
  • Work with multiple departments such as Design, Tech Animation, and Code to complete tasks. Communication is key to understanding how each discipline contributes to the asset.
  • Take animations from conceptualization to shipping without direction if necessary.

Ideally, you will have…

  • 5+ years professional game development experience.
  • Very strong keyframing ability. Have a strong eye for the art and craft of animation
  • Full Body Character animation experience with strong understanding of Body mechanics on humanoid and fantasy characters and non-human creatures.
  • Experience in modifying Mocap data for In Game assets
  • Experience in integrating animations into the Unreal engine.
  • Shipped a AAA game as a Senior Animator. A strong understanding of video game animation development
  • Experience in hand keying facial animation (lip sync and expressions)
  • Experience in Maya
  • Experience in working closely with Combat Designers, Tech Anim and Engineers

BASE SALARY RANGES

  • California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):$108,700 - $166,550
  • New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):$107,450 - $166,550
  • Jersey City, NJ : $107,450 - $166,550
  • Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs): $107,450 - $153,250
  • Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):$107,450 - $153,250

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby (following 1 year of service), medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
