We use customer data and analytics to help us understand and improve our customers’ experiences, drive customer retention, and encourage brand loyalty. Our team is diverse, with skillsets and responsibilities ranging from graphic design, content creation and performance marketing to loyalty & rewards programs. We work together to provide expertise and guidance, so that the Staples brand is well represented in all areas.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Analyze quality of customer data in various systems both before & after cleaning in support of personalization and data science initiatives
  • Identify opportunities for Staples to improve its customer data through unification, cleaning and/or better governance and guardrails
  • Work with Team Lead to create and execute workplans
  • Execute pilots of new data vendors, performing analysis to understand the quality of their data & value they provide
  • Support cross functional Customer Data Team in evaluating current data vendor landscape; liaises with data systems to build case for improvement
  • Support leadership of cross-functional initiative & executing on roadmap
  • Monitor data quality in key systems and diagnose issues
  • Identify opportunities for Staples to improve its customer data through cleaning and/or better governance and guardrails to enable a good customer experience driven by personalization and data science use of the data
  • Create and maintain all documents for customer data processes, decision logs and governance.

What you bring to the table:

  • Analytical mind, with strong Alteryx, Excel, SQL skills
  • Strong written & verbal communications; able to effectively frame, execute and summarize analysis and findings
  • Experience working with customer data across enterprise systems, with ability to map data flows across and within systems
  • Strong organizational skills

Qualifications :

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years of related experience

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with agile ways of working, capacity planning, agile ways of working, & project / change management
