Job Description

•  At least 3 years of practical experience in working with data projects that develop and implement data management solutions including governance strategy, data profiling, data quality, and architecture
• Experience in various data management techniques and different governance models, e.g. centralized and decentralized
• Experience with end to end data management processes, business data models, business definitions for data objects as well as related technologies
• Knowledge and experience with data cataloging tools like Collibra, Informatica, Alation or others
• Excellent communication skills and experience interfacing with Business stakeholders, Program & Product managers, Engineers, and Tech Leadership
• Very good knowledge of German language in speech and writing is mandatory

It's not essential, but we appreciate if you also have:

•  Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or other relevant fields
• Knowledge of cloud solutions, SQL, ETL, NoSQL, Python, and SQL server
• Knowledge of machine learning and relational databases
• Ability to analyze, interpret, and organize with large amounts of data, thinking strategically, and be able to see the big picture
• Be familiar with the latest trends and best practices in data governance
• Railway industry knowledge is a plus
• Knowledge of Agile, SCRUM, ITIL, Lean, Six Sigma methodology and concepts

What duties will help you grow?

•  Developing and implementing an overall organizational data strategy that is in line with business processes.
• Designing Data governance operating model and its implementation
• Gathering and understanding requirements to develop Data governance solutions
• Building and maintain data governance policies, procedures, standards, principles, and processes
• Conducting business analysis
• Coordinating and collaborating with cross-functional teams (business and IT) to enable content, e.g. business data models, data glossaries and data dictionaries
