Job Description

• Software Engineering / Data Science / Computer Science educational background is a must
• Project-based and/or consulting foundation is preferred
• Strong attention to detail required
• Team player mentality is a must
• Someone with a willingness to learn from others as well as share your knowledge with the group
• Ability to think logically about a problem, reason your way through it, and implement a code solution
• Comfortable speaking in front of clients and ability to present to business stakeholders when needed
• Ability to ‘translate’ model results to functional client audience
• ‘Outside-the-box’ thinker who is eager to be part of a rapidly growing team and play an integral role in the rapid delivery of innovative projects and solutions
• Ability to work in an ‘agile’ environment that requires ad-hoc decision-making and rapid adaptability

ML/Data science

• Data Scientist/ML Engineer
• Strong foundation in Supervised machine learning model building using Python/R/SAS and integrating them into Batch Inference pipelines.
• Knowledge in using Python and Pyspark for predictive supervised model building.
• Foundation in working with machine learning related python packages
• Scikit learn, XGBoost, matplot lib and proficient is data pre-processing using pandas.
• Foundation on a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, segmentation etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks
• Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.
• Experience using ML Flow or similar tool to deploy operational models in Azure Cloud.
• Experience mentoring and developing best practices for model management, health monitoring and model tuning.

Data science (R/Shiny):

• Beginner to Intermediate R knowledge a must
• Ideally minimum of 1-2 years working experience
• Familiarity with the data.table package strongly desired
• Familiarity with sf, shiny, and the apply family of functions
• Experience building simple features geometries a plus
• Experience building a Shiny application highly preferred, albeit not required
• Knowledge of linux or mac operating systems
• Ability to write R code on a MacBook, or on an Ubuntu machine is preferred
• Willingness to learn or familiarity with Docker a plus
• Basic working knowledge of relational databases
• SQL Server
• Ability to write SQL statements
• Some very basic knowledge of HTML, JavaScript a plus
• Experience using any version control system preferred, not required
• Git, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps
• Familiarity with the basics of machine learning
• Think: building systems to do aggregations across variables, not neural nets

Candidates should be flexible / willing to work across this delivery landscape which includes and not limited to Agile Applications Development, Support and Deployment.

Software Engineers perform requirements analysis. They then design, develop or maintain the physical application (components) or the application environment, based on the Software Architecture (models and principles). Activities include coding, integrating, implementing, installing or changing frameworks and standard components, or technical and functional application management. A Software Engineer also develops languages, methods, frameworks and tools, and/or undertakes activities in support of server-based databases in development, test and production environments.

Required Skills and Experience:

You are a specialist in enterprise-wide Software Engineering technology, including all its processes, languages, databases, frameworks and tools. You act as a stream lead on complex international engagements and you are proficient at analyzing and assessing commercial benefits. You contribute to multiple winning bids and are a technical lead on a significant bid. You are successful at winning pull-through or add-on business to existing accounts and have strong knowledge of at least two service offers. You are an active coach and mentor who helps in coaching others through the Software Engineering & Architecture certification process. You actively participate in the ongoing development of SE&A certification programs and lead briefings or training sessions.

• Qualification: 9 – 13 (3 years min relevant experience in the role) years experience, Bachelor’s Degree.
• Certification: Should have SE level 2 and is seeking SE Level 3.
• Must have experience in Software Engineering, Data Management, Architecture Knowledge and Technical Solution Design.
• Should be proficient in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge & Testing
