Job Description

The Senior Manager, Data Quality will work with cross functional teams and IT teams to design and implement the Data Management Strategy including Data Governance, Metadata Management, Data Quality Management and Change Management for pharmacy data including patient, plan, prescriber, location, team member, product as part of multi-year RxR program.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supports the Senior Director with creating, communicating, and enforcing data governance, data quality management policies, processes, and procedures
  • Provides thought leadership in data governance and maintaining evolving expertise in data governance best practices
  • Guides the Data Quality workstream to improve the maturity of current processes and capabilities for ongoing program to support the rollout of new Pharmacy program
  • Collaborates with the Enterprise Data Governance team to design the Data Governance Operating Model for RxR program
  • Works with cross-functional teams to determine root cause for discrepancies, correct processes and implement change for RxR program
  • Develops and continually assesses work processes to identify opportunities to improve the quality of pharmacy data
  • Owns data integrity of data domains by establishing a data quality monitoring capabilities
  • Defines methods for measuring and monitoring data quality and policy adherence to promote RxR program
  • Partners with business data and system owners to maintain data integrity of data at source systems
  • Collects and documents requirements to design the solutions for metadata management and data quality management
  • Builds and manages a team of resources to manage tools for metadata management and data quality management
  • Reviews reports to identify, review and close issues/defects in a timely manner by coordinating with onshore and offshore resources
  • Develops change request process, analyze change requests, identify implementation alternatives and impact
  • Coaches, mentors, and develops peers to promote data governance and foster data stewardship
  • Assists in crafting leadership communications, planning sessions, and moderating Data Governance working team meetings
  • Present reports and findings to senior level technical and non-technical audiences

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of experience in strategy, portfolio management and/or Finance OR a high school diploma/GED and at least 7 years of experience in strategy, portfolio management and/or Finance.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, technology, engineering, or a related field
  • Previous pharma industry experience
  • Rich Data Management design and implementation experience with at least 5 years in a leadership and managerial role
  • Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills
  • Proven ability to lead a cross-functional team across distinct business units, work with and through others to achieve desired results
  • Experience in working with developers to describe existing processes and recommend changes to systems and processes design
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence as part of project workflow and documentation tools
  • Experience with Agile project management methods and terminology
  • Strong analytical and technical skills to troubleshoot issues, analyze the cause, quickly come-up with possible solution(s), document the changes, and communicate the change to the organization
  • Ability to understand data models, data taxonomy and a deep appreciation of data standards and data quality
  • Experience deploying or owning COTS products to manage core data management capabilities such as Collibra, Ataccama, Informatica
  • Ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks
  • Experience with creating SQL queries

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or Information Systems
