Job Description

Responsible analyzing Clinical Healthcare data across multiple platforms to assess program effectiveness, build recommendations through predictive analytics and drive adoption of program enhancements to ensure effectiveness and execution of Walgreens Health Clinical programs. Role will provide prospective and retrospective analyses of program impact on health outcomes, financial outcomes, and other key performance indicators including HEDIS measures and STAR ratings. Role will work with Clinical Program leads to identify an evolve measures for evaluating program impact. Role will work closely with Clinical Healthcare leadership to identify new intervention opportunities and build recommendations for new programs. Role will support development of a body of evidence and performance results for internal and external facing audiences, including clients and submission to peer reviewed journals.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for amalgamating and analyzing clinical data from a wide variety of sources to develop and build predictive analytics and identify key data drivers to evaluate effectiveness of Clinical Services offered.
  • Working closely with Clinical Healthcare business leads, provides detailed analytics by clinicalservice offered.
  • Identifies trends, patterns, and patient behaviors within the data analyses to predictively indicatewhich program services would be best suited to achieve optimal clinical service performanceoutcomes.
  • Collaborates with Clinical Team and other internal departments to initiate/implementimprovements and efficiencies related to clinical analytics needs.
  • Responsible for validating the integrity and availability of clinical data utilized for reporting (internaland external).
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on clinical performance metrics design, development, andanalyses.
  • Collaborates with the Walgreens Health teams to ensure appropriate data are collected for proposed clinical research project intended for the peer review publication process.
  • Provides support in the review, and revision of policies and procedures related to clinical programs.
  • Assists with the development of clinical presentations for quarterly business reviews with existinginternal teams and external clients.
  • Collaborates with Walgreens Health cross functional teams to evolve and deploy analyticsstrategies.
  • Develops and reports on novel or nonstandard metrics that require an in-depth knowledge ofhealthcare and clinical operations.
  • Supports quality assurance processes / user acceptance testing with Clinical Systems, ClinicalProgram Managers, Learning and Development and Implementations for clinical program launches(go-live) and clinical program enhancements.

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS + at least 2 years OR High School/ GED+ at least 4 yearsClinical Data systems and Analysis
  • Bachelor’s Degree in quantitative social science, statistics, public health, computer science, orrelated field
  • Minimum of 2-years’ experience conducting analyses and building predictive models using R,
  • Python, Stata, SAS, or similar
  • Minimum of 2-years’ research or healthcare industry experience analyzing clinical data includingmedical claims, pharmacy claims, electronic health records, remote patient monitoring, or similar
  • Knowledge and understanding of Clinical Healthcare services data systems, analyzing, and drawinginsights and making recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) whilst interacting with internal colleagues,business leadership and external clients
  • Proven ability to work with confidential patient data to ensure compliance with all data privacyregulations
  • Strong time management skills, prioritizing and organizing work requests and expectationmanagement when working with varied project teams
  • Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Willing to travel up to/at least 10% of thetime for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters or PhD Degree in quantitative social science, statistics, public health, computer science, orrelated field
  • 5-years’ research or healthcare industry experience analyzing clinical data including medical claims,pharmacy claims, electronic health records, remote patient monitoring, or similar
  • Experience conducting analyses in a cloud environment including Snowflake, Azure, AWS, GoogleCloud Platform, or similar
  • Experience building measures and analyses incorporating Social,
  • Environmental, and/or Behavioral
  • Determinants of Health
  • Familiarity with SQL
  • Experience building interactive dashboards to socialize insights from analyses including use ofTableau, PowerBI, or similar
