General responsibilities of the position:

You will be the lead of a multi-disciplinary team whose members come from both the commercial and technical areas of the business. As part of this team, you will learn the basics of gas turbine engine operation as well as the commercial, environmental, and technical issues that impact engine operating costs. You will be responsible for data and tools, computational modelling, management, and development that supports pricing of customer engine maintenance proposals which includes:

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the FMP™ commercial proposal pricing modeling process and the analysts team.
  • Develop reports and dashboards in Power BI Desktop and Report Server using multiple data sources (SharePoint, SQL Server, Excel, SAP BW, etc.) ensuring they are built to specifications.
  • Translate customer needs into clear requirements and meaningful reports by leveraging business intelligence infrastructure to transform raw data into meaningful and intuitive visualizations.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives by sourcing required data and providing support to the team as required.
  • Lead maintenance and continuous improvement of existing dashboards.
  • Collaborate and communicate with all supporting business units.
  • Advise and implement improvements to proposal procedures and financial models.
  • Evolve the FMP™ tools to integrate new services in an integrated commercial offering supporting the market needs.

Qualification and Skills:

  • University degree (Engineering, Data science, Programming)
  • Bachelor’s degree with 9 to 12 years of experience
  • Master’s degree with 7 to 10 years of experience
  • Strong knowledge of software development process and software development tools (incl. C/C++, Python and V)
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, Python, SQL, & PowerBI is mandatory.
  • Ability to leverage analytical and quantitative skills to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, to achieve a complete root cause analysis.
  • Strong business acumen & attention to details
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven atmosphere & adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Understanding of aerospace aftermarket ecosystem an asset
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English

  • This position requires flexibility to support outside typical office hours (Will need to support Eastern Time Zone hours)
