Pratt & Whitney Canada’s Data Science and Analytics team is a dynamic and innovative group focused on leveraging data science and machine learning to drive actionable insights and results across the organization. The team’s primary goals include developing advanced data analytics models, implementing machine learning algorithms, optimizing data pipelines, and delivering data-driven solutions that improve products and operations in the aerospace manufacturing industry.

What will your daily life look like?

• Lead and provide strategic direction to the data science and analytics team.

• Work closely with business teams to identify opportunities for data science and machine learning solutions.

• Tackle complex data science and machine learning problems that have a significant impact on organizational success.

• Develop and implement strategies to extract actionable insights from data.

• Oversee the development and deployment of machine learning models and algorithms.

• Attract, hire and retain top data science talent.

• Effectively communicate complex technical concepts and ideas to non-technical stakeholders.

What You Need to Succeed

Essentials

• Education: Master's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline (data science, computer science, statistics or a related field).

• Experience: Proven experience leading data science and analytics teams and delivering data-driven solutions in an enterprise environment.

• KSA: Proficiency in machine learning, fundamental statistics, and data visualization.

• Programming Languages: Expertise in programming languages ​​such as R or Python.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to translate complex data concepts into actionable business insights.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.

• This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, however it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may come from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with clients, suppliers or international colleagues.

Assets

• SQL expertise for data extraction, transformation and analysis.

• Additional certifications or training in data science and analytics.

• Experience in data technologies and platforms.

• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms for data analysis.

• Knowledge of data engineering, data mining and data architecture.
