Job Description

The Director of IT, Business Relationship Management is a global position located in our Corporate HQ's in Atlanta, GA! Reporting to our VP of Global Business Functions and Enterprise Solutions, the individual will be relied upon to build strong relationships in all four of our global regions with a focus on digital manufacturing and the supply chain.

The leader in this space will work collaboratively with our Global Manufacturing organization, regional and global IT leaders, and regional Operations leaders.

A deep understanding and knowledge of both the current manufacturing systems landscape and Industry 4.0 is ideal, along with a passion for people and the manufacturing floor. This person will lead the design of our roadmaps that will expand our proven capabilities and incorporates advanced technologies, enabling Novelis’ 'Factory of the Future' vision of a highly connected, operationally intelligent manufacturing enterprise! Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

Partner with key team members in IT, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain (global and regional) to solve the manufacturing facilities’ toughest problems; providing end-to-end technology support to ensure value is delivered and sustained. Advise and influence leadership and operations on technical solutions, standard integration methodologies, and business and technology alignment.

Factory of the Future

  • Help to define Novelis’ Factory of the Future benefits, savings, and the measurement process.
  • Understand technology requirements and design a playbook to deliver the results.
  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to enable competitive advantage through the definition and implementation of the technology components.
  • Help to identify, develop, and coach Industry 4.0 regional champions.
  • Establishing agile, multi-year strategic IT roadmap of tools to advance the World Class Manufacturing strategy.
  • Support plant expansion projects addressing our growth strategy.
  • Measure and track site, regional, and global results.

Digital

  • Develop and manage progress against the detailed digital roadmap by coordinating with cross-functional teammates and external partners.
  • Research emerging digital manufacturing technologies to address critical business and customer challenges.
  • Discover, experiment, lead, coordinate, and deliver digital initiatives across facilities globally.
  • Champion change and look to improve processes by systematizing simplicity, agility, and sensible risk-taking.
  • Responsible for the deployment and continuous improvement of portfolio and project management and accelerated continuous improvement practices aligned with transformation goals.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the structure and processes, related to Digital Manufacturing transformation ensuring a clear path forward.
  • Proactively identify, manage, and escalate risks across projects, work streams, and programs.

Transformation Management

  • Define an approach for managing change across the business in coordination with the delivery of technology projects.
  • Work with key stakeholders to develop a communication strategy, approach, and plan; including, but not limited to content guidelines and delivery cadence.
  • Promote learning in others by building relationships with cross-functional partners; listening and responding to, seeking, and addressing performance feedback; adapting to competing demands and new responsibilities; creating and executing plans to capitalize on strengths and improve opportunity areas; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field).
  • 10+ years of experience leading and deploying large, sophisticated multi-national IT transformations and strategic projects in a manufacturing environment (or similar).
  • Experience managing a team; preferably 5 years or more, including leading teams across the operations ecosystem within a global matrixed organization.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing stack systems (for example, architecture for L0-L5 systems).
  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0, IoT, and ITOT.
  • Leadership experience in digital strategy deployment and use of new technologies in world-class manufacturing facilities.
  • Ability to operate and communicate at a strategic level yet focus on details to drive successful execution and deliver value.
  • Ability to decompose problems and opportunities when they may not be clearly defined.
  • Proven success delivering projects in Agile, Waterfall, or SDLC environments, and effectively managing multiple large-scale, high-risk projects across a portfolio.
  • Strong facilitation skills lending to effectively guiding the business to identify needs and evaluating alternative solutions as required.
  • Understanding of various technologies including applications and databases.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or related advanced degree and 8+ years of leading strategic IT projects.
  • Knowledge of ISA-95 model, MES, AI, machine learning.
  • Experience in the metals manufacturing industry.
  • Validated ability to build and influence teams, mentor, and coach while proactively recognizing and removing obstacles on behalf of the teams.
