Job Description

The Compliance Data Manager will report into the Associate Director of Compliance, Enterprise Excellence (EE) for US Patient Services (Team X-Factor). This role will serve as the point of contact and lead for all data related initiatives within the Enterprise Excellence Compliance organization and will be responsible, in coordination with the Associate Director, for the creation and rollout of the Enterprise Excellence data strategy, framework build, and implementation. This role will partner with the EE team, functional program owners, vendors, BTS, OEC, Legal and other key functional groups to help ensure compliant and risk averse patient service programs and data environments for all brands. This includes helping to build and maintain data frameworks for all monitoring and audit programs, Patient Services policies, procedures and standards, all other Compliance initiatives, and acting as the data point of contact for business program owners, functional partners, and vendor partners.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Build and/or maintain data frameworks and platforms to support all EE Compliance initiatives, including internal and external audits, monitoring, operational reviews, reporting, and all other Compliance initiatives as needed
  • Create quarterly and ad hoc compliance data (monitoring/audit results related) decks via Powerpoint
  • Collaborate with Associate Director, Data Governance and Operations in defining the data management vision and identify opportunities and processes to ensure Enterprise Excellence’s data is accurate, reliable, available, accessible, and secure
  • Assist in surfacing/prioritizing issues to leadership around problem areas related to data management outcomes
  • Work closely with stakeholders to design data solutions that meet their needs, while making sure the priorities for the team are properly aligned to business needs
  • Guide team to develop and implement simple, sustainable solutions, standards, policies, and procedures that minimize data-related risks
  • Help EE optimize the use of available data in simple, meaningful ways
  • Partner with the Associate Director Compliance, Enterprise Excellence to support the development of the Compliance team through influence and leadership
  • Build collaborative relationships and effectively interact with business and/or technology leadership, interacts well with diverse groups across business and technology functions and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators
  • Consistently demonstrate Abbvie's Ways of Working and leadership attributes including an enterprise mindset and people leadership.
  • Understand and execute AbbVie's and Enterprise Excellence mission, vision, goals and strategies

Qualifications

Basic:

Position requires BS degree in a science related area, data science preferred

  • 8+ years of pharmaceutical industry and/or data management program development and execution
  • Experience in data governance/management related role with an emphasis on developing and implementing data standards, policies, practices, and procedures that lead to substantive improvements in data integrity
  • Experience leading the implementation and support of data management tools
  • Experience partnering with data stewards across multiple business areas and functions
  • Strong organizational, strategic thinking, analytical and reporting skills and strong understanding of the patient services and pharmaceutical business
  • In-depth understanding of the pharmaceutical patient centricity
  • Human relations skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, and functional partners
  • Sound judgment in evaluating and establishing strategic data management plans as well as in day-to-day situations
  • Conflict resolution skills including persuasive management techniques required
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills required. Ability to communicate concepts and problems in terms that are understandable to all levels of the organization, including C-Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities successfully
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, data science applications
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic fast paced environment, with minimal supervision
