Job Description

At Tokopedia AI Platform team, our engineers develop toolings, SOPs, best practices and policies to make ML/AI workflow more streamlined. With large-scale and highly diverse datasets in Tokopedia, a wide range of ML models (Supervised learning models, RL models, LLM models, etc) have been deployed on our AI platform. As Large Language Models (LLMs) have become prevalent in many Tokopedia tribes, we are looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer who has experience in the training and deployment of large models, preferably LLMs.

What will you do

• Deploy and maintain large-scale vector databases such as Milvus and Pinecode.
• Deploy LLMs on self-managed cloud infra. Optimize the inference time of LLM services without sacrificing model accuracy.
• Partner with other engineering teams and product teams to integrate self-hosted LLM services with various applications.
• Build and maintain observability tools to ensure stable operations of LLM models on production environments.

What you will need

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in in Compute Science, Engineering or related field.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience in training and deploying large-scale ML models, especially LLMs.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in software development.
• Basic knowledge of vector databases, deep learning, and Natural Language Processing.
• Proficient at Python, Bash, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Docker, MLFlow, and other MLOps tech stacks.
• Good growth mindset and strong problem solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Practical experience in model deployment optimization and vector database optimization.
• Practical experience in full-stack software development.
• Familiar with GCP products and services, such as VertexAI, GKE, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Dataflow.
• Strong knowledge of cloud technologies and devops
