Job Description

Imagine that you are a local merchant selling delicious banana fritters. You are keen to grow your business, so you create an ad on GoFood. WIthin days, customers all across Southeast Asia are enjoying your tasty snacks.

The Ads and Promo Platform team’s mission is to help our merchant partners grow their businesses by connecting them with millions of GoTo customers. We conduct analyses to help teams make better decisions, build predictive models using machine learning to optimize for a variety of business objectives, all with the goal of creating a delightful ad experience. You’ll work closely with product managers, software engineers, and fellow data professionals, to drive success on end-to-end optimization initiatives. This is a high impact role where your work will have a direct influence on company revenue.

What will you do

• Build and serve predictive models to optimize the ranking of ad candidates in real-time
• Design information retrieval systems to balance competing objectives
• Experiment design and hypothesis testing for rolling out new modelsWork in a cross-functional team with multiple stakeholders on complex, but impactful, problems
• Collaborate with our very own data science platform team to leverage internal tools for MLOps

What you will need

• BSc in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
• At least 5 years of experience as a data scientist or ML engineer
• Demonstrable expertise in Python and SQL
• Track record of building and deploying ML systems to production
• Strong foundations in statistics and machine learning fundamentalsAbility to communicate difficult technical concepts succinctly
