We also create synthetic data for unit testing and integration testing. This takes a lot of time due to the many manual steps. You will look for and build a solution for this during this assignment.

We are increasingly using synthetic data for various reasons. Not all of our customers have enough data to train models, but they increasingly want to start developing a first version of a machine learning model. We also use synthetic data to create unit tests and integration tests on our development environment. Copying production data to our development environment is of course a no go.

We currently write scripts ourselves to generate data and that is a lot of work because it involves many manual steps. We would like a standard tool, so that we spend less time creating, testing and debugging data generation scripts.

The assignment

Investigate how we can use machine learning to generate synthetic data. Then build a Proof of Concept for a tool to generate synthetic data.
