Job Description

The Audit Innovation and Analytics leader will work closely with all Internal Audit Teams and potentially other groups within the Bank, as necessary. The role will also assist in leading strategic projects and creating a culture of innovation to facilitate and further Internal Audit’s maturity, efficiency, and effectiveness. This will help deepen Internal Audit’s impact and influence and ensure that Internal Audit continues to strategically scale as the Bank continues to grow and evolve. 

The ideal candidate should think strategically with a blend of internal audit, program management, and practical experience running a data analytics or innovation program for a large organization. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to quickly develop strong working relationships with internal leaders and other business partners, IT personnel, internal and external auditors and outside consultants.

Requirements/Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership to collaborate, execute, and achieve the strategic vision for the Internal Audit Department.
• Strong project management, communication, and influencing skills.
• Capability to think strategically and apply creative and constructive thinking to proposed recommendations for improvements to internal processes, procedures, policies, etc.
• Act as a strategic advisor to the Chief Audit Executive and the broader IA leadership team to drive success in the following key areas:
• Develop, implement, and oversee delivery of the IA innovation and data analytics strategy. 
• Lead the design, development, and execution of innovative audit analytics to evaluate risk, assess control effectiveness and deliver deeper business insights for the company.
• Partner with IA teams to identify opportunities for advanced analytics and automation in audit engagements and other projects.
• Perform and deliver on ad hoc analytics requests and support & participate in audit projects as needed.
• Publish analytics results to teams and provide guidance and training to internal audit staff to interpret and refine the results of the analytics provided and / or on the data analysis techniques and tools.
• Stay current on the latest developments in audit analytics techniques and technology, incorporating leading practices into the department's analytics strategy.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with other departments to ensure alignment of objectives and collaboration on matters relating to the innovation strategy and governance.
• Manage team of IA innovation and analytics professionals, foster a collaborative and inclusive environment that encourages continuous learning and growth.
• The ability to transform goals and objectives into impactful solutions/plans.
• Superb listening, oral and writing communication skills, including presenting and translating sophisticated concepts into understandable points of view and work optimally at all levels of the company.

Experience/Background

• At least 10-15+ years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of internal controls and prior financial, operational audit experience 
• Proficient in the use of data analytics and automation software such as Automation Anywhere, Tableau, Data Robot, or SQL.
• Experience with high growth companies and companies that operate at scale. 
• Relevant certification(s) required: i.e., CPA/CA, CIA, CISA, CISSP, PMP, ACL certifications.
• High tech and cloud computing industry experience is preferred.
• Advanced degree in analytics (i.e., MS Business Analytics, Master’s Data Analytics, Masters Information & Data Science) is a plus
