Primary Responsibilities :

  • Define and deliver a vision and strategy for algorithmically driven products.
  • Develop and maintain a Product Roadmap in collaboration and consultation with the leadership team.
  • Technical leadership of a multi-disciplined engineering team.
  • Manage products/algorithms throughout their lifecycle. Take responsibility for release schedules and milestones.
  • Ensure system development, validation, and delivery are according to guidelines and processes (e.g. ISO26262, ASPICE).
  • Attract, hire and retain industry best talent in areas such as digital signal processing, sensor fusion and AI based algorithms.
  • Establish clear processes to empower associates to deliver results.
  • Ensure tight inter-team coordination and communication. Partner with cross-functional resources.
  • Effectively and consistently communicate overall program status.
  • Establish partnership with external third-parties to enrich product performance and development capabilities.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of emerging technologies, products and solutions. Have a comprehensive view of the competitive landscape.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical engineering or a related technical discipline. MBA a plus.
  • Direct experience working with an OEM or Tier I, in the capacity of a principal investigator or a project manager.
  • 10+ years’ experience in automotive product development.
  • Strong track-record of effective project management skills.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

  • Extensive experience in developing algorithms suited for embedded implementation and/or cloud deployment.
  • Solid technical aptitude and an ability to understand technical designs, challenges and risks. Passion for new technologies and solving problems.
  • Experienced in project management. Familiar with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies and able to apply them where best suited.
  • Ability to manage the expectations, demands, and priorities of multiple internal stakeholders based on overarching vision and success for global team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and flexibility with changing needs and direction in a rapidly-growing organization.
