Job Description

On this position you will : 

  • Work with a team to understand and document requirements, ensure alignment, use analysis, investigation and objectivity to creatively solve problems. 
  • Work closely with a variety of R&D functions, some regional like labs and others global, and liaise with technical teams (such as security and infrastructure) for implementation.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiency for users/engineers. Tasks will include developing new solutions supporting machine learning operations and data integration, adding new software functionality to existing tools and cloud platforms, identifying and fixing software issues, delivering service requests, providing incident coverage, and deploying software releases.
  • Be able to use current technologies and methodologies (Agile, XP, or similar) with business subject matter to develop potential technical solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain low-code applications to improve operations. Develop and optimize low code pipelines and workflows. Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiency. Leverage devops and ensure the reliability, security, and performance of cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Perform troubleshooting and investigation activities as it relates to technology incidents/outages/bugs. Develop break-fix solutions to problems involving causes that are not obvious. Identify and respond to problems by diagnosing and correcting errors that do not have a known cause. Provide advise and implement secure technical solutions necessary to ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability of systems. Write and maintain all documentation supporting primary area of responsibility. 
  • Investigate and report on latest information technologies, techniques and processes that could digitally enable business strategies. Increase breadth and depth of technical knowledge by expanding knowledge base.
  • Expand use of current information technologies, techniques and processes as they apply to Goodyear. Increase breadth and depth of technical knowledge by expanding knowledge base. 

To join our team you will need:

Education:

The candidate should have a Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, Business Administration or a related discipline (a Master is preferred).

Languages:

English and French are required. 

Experience:

  • 3 or more years of experience in Information Technology
  • Understanding of Business Process Area supported - Continued growth in understanding company culture and business practices
  • Experience working with a team and autonomously

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficient in low code programming
  • Experience working with WinDev, Outsystems, Talend are preferred
  • Ability to work with users to decifer requirements
  • Experience working with DevOps concerps and CD/CI pipeline (Jenkins, Github, and more)
  • Ideally: Experience with Web Development ( REST API,node.js, react, javascript, VB), machine learning, and cloud platforms
  • Experience in working with data engineering tools and technologies such as SQL, ETL, etc.
