Job Description

The project is rooted in Agile best practices, executing the tenants of DevOps and implementing continuous process improvement in process and tools/technology to facilitate USASOC’s transition to a data-driven organization, support ongoing AI/ML across the enterprise, and enable modernization efforts that support the ARSOF mission. The Project Actively supports the Artificial Intelligence Division (AI DIV) Strategy.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or similar role.
  • Understanding of data structures, data modeling, and software architecture.
  • Deep knowledge of math, probability, statistics, and algorithms.
  • Ability to write and understand Python or R, and Java or similar application/front-end web development language.
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (like Keras or PyTorch) and libraries (like scikit-learn).
  • Experience working with Git-based source control and containers.
  • Familiarity with tools and methods appropriate for an end-to-end machine learning lifecycle, such as hyperparameter optimization, model monitoring, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience or strong familiarity with Agile development processes.
  • Ability to work in a diverse and distributed team.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a similar field.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a similar field.
  • Experience supporting USASOC or Joint SOF organizations. 
  • Must work independently with limited government oversight and function effectively as part of a team in a joint working environment.
