This Marketing Insights Researcher is dedicated to supporting measurement and tracking of the Instagram brand among key strategic audiences in our priority markets globally. We strive to use behavioral and attitudinal signals to understand, unpack, and recommend the most salient opportunities for our brand, product, and marketing efforts to best align to delivering user value. We inspire data driven decision-making across business and technical functions to align all efforts towards reinforcing the brand story that we are building. Marketing Insights is an integral part of the marketing team and works cross-functionally with product, UX research, and data science teams. You will influence marketing strategy, campaign development, and product roadmaps that help the billion people who use our app. The Marketing Insights Researcher is as much a strategist as a researcher. They will design, execute, and deliver high-impact primary and secondary research (with a strong focus on quantitative skills) in order to develop strategic recommendations and drive outcomes for the business. The ideal candidate will be a flexible and agile market research expert with phenomenal analytical and communication skills, and strong track record in brand tracking for a global brand. This is an individual contributor role.

Marketing Researcher - Brand Measurement Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all global brand & product tracking programs among consumers and creators for Instagram.
  • Design and execute advanced analytics, utilizing a deep understanding metrics development and brand funnel measurement to support decision-making across the marketing organization, Instagram, Threads, and Meta at large.
  • Translate brand health signals into actionable narratives and strategic recommendations that will have an effect on reaching hundreds of millions of people.
  • Collaborate across knowledge functions (Decision Science, Marketing Insights, Demography & Survey Science) to continually build our expertise and understanding of brand measurement across the company.
  • Communicate effectively in order to motivate people to take action in marketing and across the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrated track record of identifying business opportunities and using research to drive strategy
  • Experience with designing and managing large-scale brand tracking programs from research design to reporting and analysis (client-side)
  • 8+ years of experience with extensive background in quantitative and qualitative research, including hands-on experience in research instruments (e.g., such as discussion guides or survey questionnaires) and data analysis (e.g., weighting, data, regression, cluster/segmentation analysis)
  • Experience directing agencies/vendors to deliver results
  • Experience using primary and secondary research to influence executives and colleagues
  • Experience with survey programming tool (e.g., Qualtrics or SurveyMonkey)
  • Experience with international research.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data analysis tool (e.g., SPSS, R, Python, SQL). Data visualization tools & expertise a plus.
