We’re looking for a seasoned analytics leader to drive data-informed decisions for the Business & Commerce product group at Instagram. You will lead Data Science for one of four product groups at Instagram and report directly to Instagram’s Head of Analytics. You will partner with the product organization that is responsible for connecting 2B users and 200M businesses on our platform every day. You will drive that economy forward and help businesses of all shapes and sizes thrive. You will oversee three areas: 1) the Instagram ads ecosystem, which connects our global community to businesses they already love or might be interested in, 2) native business tools and experiences, with a special focus on supporting entrepreneurs and small and medium businesses, and 3) Instagram’s native commerce experience which allows people to easily discover products and purchase them on the platform. You will be responsible for managing the data science team to: - Ensure proper goaling, experimentation, and forecasting. - Develop insights that identify the biggest opportunities for the Instagram community. - Drive overall product strategy for the Business & Commerce organization. You will scale the Business & Commerce Analytics org and serve on Instagram’s analytics leadership circle to help improve cross-Instagram Analytics team processes such as recruiting, training, and performance management. You will enjoy working with one of the richest data sets in the world, cutting-edge technology, and the ability to see your insights turned into real products on a regular basis. You will be focused on results, be proactive, support your team to deliver rigorous analyses, and use data to drive change in products and organizations. You will lead a scaled team of 70+ data scientists located around the world.
