Job Purpose

The Lead Digital Analyst is responsible for supporting the business/operations work stream within the multi-disciplinary digital product team structure, participating in the agile-based incubation and commercialization process (Build, Learn, Adapt). Working with business subject matter experts (SMEs), this role supports the Product Lead and Digital team on product implementations that achieve product vision and benefits. Key competencies include ability to perform and lead data analysis assignments, ability to pull together content for a cohesive presentation, provide process improvement recommendations, and has the technical ability to utilize various analytical tools.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support business/operation work stream team, participating in agile sprints during full product roadmap
  • Actively participate in discussions and activities during all sprint cadence meetings
  • Develop and mature product business cases, evaluating costs and benefits with business SMEs and Finance supporters
  • Design, develop and report value tracking mechanisms to allow business leaders to understand ongoing product value realization
  • Recognize and design practical automation opportunities for value tracking data mining, as well as dashboards for presentation
  • Maintain benefits tracking in EHub, or other portfolio tracking tool
  • Support the product workstream in preparing for, and participating in experiments that address the riskiest assumptions
  • During validation phase, support market analysis activities during build vs. buy decisions
  • During validation phase, identify key user personas and frictions which necessitate implementation of the product
  • Participate in mapping exercises to identify as-is and to-be process flows impacted by the product implementation
  • Design and support implementation of user training activities

Qualifications

  • Substantial knowledge and experience with MS Excel in merging data from different sources
  • Experience designing Business Objects queries or PowerBI
  • Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages: R, Python, SLQ, etc.
  • Knowledge of data management and visualization techniques
  • Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders using visualization tools: Periscope, Business Objects, D3, ggplot, etc.
  • Knowledge of SAP/HANA tool desired
  • Knowledge of STORMS Work Management System desired
  • 5+ years analytics experience required
  • Understanding of core electric/gas business processes preferred
  • Understanding of utility accounting/financial fundamentals preferred
  • Skills in presenting performance data in attractive, creative, and easily understood ways
  • Ability to work independently on long term initiatives
  • Skills in presenting data in a clear and persuasive manner
  • Able to meet deadlines and to produce meaningful results in a challenging environment
  • Requires a BA or BS degree or higher in an engineering, finance, business, computer science or technical discipline, or equivalent work experience

Salary

$125k - $147k a year in Brooklyn, NY

$116k - $137k a year in Waltham, MA
