TITLE: Machine Learning Engineer
LOCATION: Gaithersburg, MD
HOURS: Full-Time; Mon-Fri (40 hours/week)
DUTIES: Investigate innovative machine learning, artificial intelligence, and statistic techniques for health data challenges. Collaborate with scientists and other machine learning engineers and data scientists to translate medical problems into machine learning problems. Design and implement machine learning pipelines and models to solve problems faced by our drug development scientists. Deploy machine learning solutions into production. Optimize solutions for performance and scalability. Explain analyses and machine learning solutions to technical audiences. Liaise with teams to enhance technological stack to enable adoption of the latest advances in Data Processing and AI.
REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Biomedical Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field, and three (3) years of experience in the job offered, as a Bioinformatics Scientist or in a related occupation. Alternatively, Employer will accept a Master’s degree in a stated field of study plus 1 year of experience. Any combination of education, experience or training is acceptable. Must possess three (3) years of experience (or one (1) if possess a Master’s) with all of the following: Analyzing deep Neural Network models; Using DL frameworks including TensorFlow, PyTorch, Jax or Theano; Utilizing machine learning models including ResNets; Utilizing Python; Building large scale data processing pipelines; Deploying machine learning models at scale on distributed cloud environments and computer clusters with job schedulers; Using SciPy, Scikit-learn, NumPy, Pandas, OpenCV, Pillow.
