Our internship experience is an 11-week full-time opportunity that starts on May 31, 2023 and concludes on August 11, 2023.

This position is generally remote in nature at this time but will present in-person opportunities during the program.

Analytics & Behavior Change is an innovation engine supporting the entire CVS Health organization (Aetna health care business, retail, and pharmacy services) by embedding deep insights into key decision processes and focusing on our biggest, most complex problems. What you will do:

  • Participate in the design, build and management of large-scale data structures and pipelines and efficient Extract/Load/Transform (ETL) workflows that help generate insights and support analytical needs.
  • Develop and implement technical efforts to design, build, and deploy GCP (Google Cloud Platform) applications at the direction of lead architects, including large-scale data processing, computationally intensive statistical modeling, and advanced analytics
  • Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle for GCP solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance
  • Use strong programming skills in Python, Java, or any of the major languages to build knowledge in GCP architecture and commands to design and optimize queries to build data pipelines
  • Collaborate with data science teams to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into automated processes
  • Integrate data from a variety of sources, assuring it adheres to data quality and accessibility standards
  • Troubleshoot incidents, identify root cause, fix, and document problems, and implement preventive measures
  • Our corporate interns have an increased likelihood of receiving an offer for a future role with CVS Health.
  • Work visa sponsorship is available for this role. This includes participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

  • Minimum: 18.50
  • Maximum: 34.60

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications

  • Meet educational requirements (see Education section)
  • Experience in Java, Python, and SQL

Preferred Qualifications

  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience is highly preferred
  • Knowledge in Big Data and GCP architecture and experience designing & optimizing queries
  • Experience building data transformation and processing solutions
  • Ability to leverage multiple tools and programming languages to analyze and manipulate data sets from disparate data sources
  • Knowledge of large-scale search applications and building high volume data pipelines
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills within and across teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability

Education

  • Currently pursuing a Master’s degree program with an expected graduation date between December 2023 and June 2024
  • Preferred majors include Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology/Management, Information Systems
