Our internship experience is an 11-week full-time opportunity that starts on May 31, 2023 and concludes on August 11, 2023.

This position is generally remote in nature at this time but will present in-person opportunities during the program.

The Enterprise Data & Machine Learning – Data Platform team facilitates and enhances advanced analytical decision-making capabilities across CVS business units. We do so by strategically leveraging cloud and big data technology and infrastructure that automates analytic tasks and makes data insights faster, deeper, and more accessible.

What you will do:

• You will be assigned a project aimed at optimizing the setup and configuration of one of the world’s largest healthcare data platforms in the cloud – creating rich, cloud-enabled healthcare data assets utilizing the latest tools and technologies that are driving high quality data science, analytics, reporting, and other business model initiatives.
• Your opportunity will be to leverage CVS Health data assets and cloud technology platforms to create automated analytical processes
• Our corporate interns have an increased likelihood of receiving an offer for a future role with CVS Health.
• Work visa sponsorship is available for this role. This includes participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

• Minimum: 18.50
• Maximum: 34.60

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications

• Meet educational requirements (see Education section)
• Experience with conceptualizing data models and developing data pipeline processes
• Experience with querying and manipulating large data sets (SQL)
• Experience with communicating analytical insights through data visualizations such as Tableau
• Experience working in Cloud platforms and Cloud infrastructure

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with communicating project progress and results using Microsoft Office products
• Demonstrated ability to quickly develop knowledge and understanding of new domains and underlying data sources
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
• Demonstrated strong analytical and problem resolution skills
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a diverse audience
• Experience encouraging teamwork and a positive environment to improve team effectiveness
• Experience being resourceful and quickly and successfully adapting to change
• Have an interest in obtaining a full-time position within CVS Health
• Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adjusting priorities as needed and meeting deadlines

Education

• Currently pursuing a Master’s degree program with an expected graduation date between December 2023 and August 2024
• Preferred majors include Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology/Management, Information Systems
