We can’t wait to meet you! PayFlex is looking for curious and innovative data scientists to join our team. Our data scientists will tackle a range of complex business problems every day. They will play a significant role in improving our understanding of our member journeys, as well as, deepening our client relationships.

As a data scientist at PayFlex, you will be part of a team building best in class statistical models to deliver new business insights; developing, testing and validating unsupervised modeling techniques; and, creating and deploying long term tools to continually evolve business capabilities to compete with current and future market trends.

  • Bachelors degree in: Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science (Graduate degree preferred)
  • Use strong programming skills to explore, examine, and interpret large volumes of both structured and unstructured data
  • Build predictive models to investigate problems, detect patterns, and recommend solutions
  • Work with internal stakeholders to translate their business needs into analytic projects
  • Provide insights to the business to enable data-driven decision making
  • Visualize data in user friendly ways
  • Develops and participates in presentations to internal stakeholders on analytic results and solutions

Required Qualifications

Technical skills:

  • Hadoop, Tableau, R, SAS, SQL, Python
  • Strong knowledge of algorithms and predictive models
  • Experience with large data sets
  • Knowledge of Medicare a plus
