Job Description

Kantar's Global Solutions Analytics is seeking for a Data Scientist with interest in software development with Python. Our business success increasingly depends on having the most effective analytical solutions in the

industry. As research becomes more automated and turnkey, data are increasingly commoditised and our business units need to generate more and better insights, more cost effectively, than our competition.

The Global Solutions Development team exists to create, expand, enhance, automate, and maintain the analytical tools necessary to tackle the increasingly complex research challenges. The successful candidate will play an important role in the creation of new analytical capabilities and the support of existing ones; most of which are, or will be, productionised in the Beast (the Kantar

Analytics Engine). The wider development effort involves the identification and provision of solutions to address business needs and then helping bring them into production and obtain the widest use.

Key Responsibilities

• Help maintain and improve existing code (R and Python): add capabilities, investigate bugs, and improve existing code. 
• Participate on the R&D process for new developments: requirements gathering, investigation of appropriate analyses, working with the team on experimentation and piloting. 

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in data science or software development. 
• Strong python knowledge 
• Familiarity with git. 
• English fluency 

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with developing python modules. 
• Knowledge of R
