Kantar Analytics now encompasses more than 800 analytics specialists and data scientists as well as access to an enormous amount of data. From purchase and media data, to neuroscience and exit polls; from large scale quantitative studies to qualitative research and unstructured data sources.

Kantar Analytics Practice builds-on and elevates Kantar’s expertise across 5 key areas:

  • Brand and Marketing ROI Analytics
  • Customer Analytics
  • Brand Strategy and Innovation Analytics
  • Data Strategy and Engineering
  • Content Analytics

These areas will be supported by the creation of:

  • Technology-led Analytics platforms.
  • Centres of Excellence covering product development, marketing, commercialisation.
  • Analytics Delivery Centres (primarily in India) to ensure globally consistent best in class delivery, platforms and efficient treatment of data.

The Kantar Analytics strategy is central to all Divisions and Domains within Kantar and a key area for investment globally. 

We are seeking dynamic high potential Insight Analysts with a keen interest in analytics, data science and media/market research, to join this exciting and continually growing Practice within the area of Brand and Marketing ROI.

Role Expectations

  • Success in this role requires that you will be a hands-on Insight Analyst who is comfortable working individually and as part of a team, delivering high quality analytic debriefs to our clients.

As a strong candidate, you will have demonstrable experience and success in these areas:

Works with the Analytics Consultant and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high quality, high impact client debriefs:

  • Follows a creative storytelling process, thinking beyond PowerPoint
  • Synthesises Analytics solution outputs with other data sources e.g. media spend, survey data, purchasing, behavioural, search, social, website traffic
  • Designs impactful slides – with strong headings, content and conclusions
  • Ensures reports are checked for accuracy and clarity
  • Contributes to delivery of client debrief
  • Manages follow up analysis and ensures client satisfaction
  • Takes full ownership for quality of own work

Deliver high quality projects, right first time, on-time, with client impact:

  • Delivers with excellence, keeping the client in mind always
  • Communicates confidently with internal teams and clients
  • Anticipates challenges and manages changes with a solution focused approach
  • Identifies potential scope creep and acts accordingly
  • Juggles multiple priorities in a in a dynamic, collaborative environment

Has a good understanding of the client business issues and how our analytic solutions will answer their questions:

  • Works with the project team to deliver on client requests
  • Establish client relationship during projects and become a key contact point
  • Runs ancillary analysis to support client deliverable
  • Ensures analysis is delivered within scope and budget
  • Supports Analytic Consultants in proposals and pitches when required

Established as a trusted Insight Analyst with internal stakeholders/colleagues:

  • Keeps up to date with key analytics solutions, asking questions to gain clarity
  • Keeps up to date with the best ways to blend and visualise data
  • Help colleagues to understand the most appropriate way to debrief analytic solutions to get the best results
  • Has the confidence to challenge when appropriate
  • Regularly identifies areas of continual improvement and acts to change

Qualifications

  • Upper Second-Class Honours (2:1) undergraduate degree with some numeracy e.g. Economics, Psychology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics.
  • Additional benefit: post-graduate business relevant qualification, e.g. MBA, PhD, or Master’s degree in Market Research, Marketing, Operational Research or equivalent.

Languages, reading/writing/conversing

  • Proficient (comfortable) or Fluent (native equivalent) in English. 
  • Additional benefit: European languages, Indian languages

Analysis skills

  • Proficient working with aggregated data in Excel.
  • Proficient creating impactful story led client facing PowerPoint debriefs.
  • Solid numeracy skills, basic statistical concepts, with demonstrable analytical mind.
  • Additional benefit: experience with data visualization platforms e.g. PowerBI, Tableau.
  • Additional benefit: exposure to SPSS, R, Python, SAS, SQL, Excel VBA, BrandWatch.
  • Additional benefit: exposure to Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM), factor analysis, regression, path analysis, A/B testing.

Soft Skills

  • Provides and accepts ideas and suggestions in a constructive manner
  • Communicates in a timely, accurate and responsive fashion
  • Has the client or end user at heart; always focusses on the client’s objective
  • Demonstrates curiosity about how the data relates to client issues
