Manulife is seeking a Data Engineer responsible for design and delivery of dashboard on Microsoft PowerBI and similar platforms. The successful candidate will be engaged in daily BAU activities like campaign delivery, data lake and data warehouse production support.

We are looking for someone with:

• Rich experience on dashboard development and data modelling using Microsoft PowerBI
• Understanding of relational and warehousing database technology working with at least one of the major databases platforms (e.g., Oracle, SQLServer, or Postgres)
• Knowledge of big data processing frameworks and techniques such as HDFS, MapReduce, Stream processing, etc. will be an advantage
• Practical working knowledge of data processing tools using SQL, Spark, Nifi, etc.
• Experience with integrating to back-end/legacy environments
• Knowledge of Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE), Hyperion Interactive Reporting (BRIO) and Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) is desired.
• Collaborative attitude, willingness to work with team members; able to coach, participate in code reviews, share skills and methods
• Good verbal and written communication; effectively articulates technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes
• Provides insight on business problems through advanced data analysis and visualization
• Familiar with Agile

Nice to Haves:

• BSc in Computer Science, Information System or equivalent quantitative field preferred
• At least 3-4 development experience in dashboard development

On the job you will:

• Collect user requirement from business, design and implement dashboard and MIS reports using Microsoft PowerBI platform
• Implements ETL, data modeling and data pipelines in data lake for MIS reporting and PowerBI visualization
• Production supports on data pipelines of data lake and data warehouse, data accuracy, MIS reports and dashboard
• Contributes to migrate legacy data warehouse to new-gen data lake
• Contributes to overall data solution, integration and enterprise architectures
• Contributes to data landscape modernization architectures and roadmaps
• Contributes to quality standards for data assets, coordinating cross-business unit data collection and storage
