Our Canadian Advanced Analytics (AA) team is searching for a dedicated data scientist to work on innovative initiatives. Our team is dedicated to building solutions that increase efficiency, improve processes, and personalize experiences using AI, ML, and analytics. We are seeking a person who can deliver end-to-end analytics life cycle, from data exploration to insights analysis; work closely with business units, data office IT teams to deliver solutions that exceed our partners' expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large data sets and prepare data for predictive modeling, applying ML models, and building algorithms.
  • Implement model evaluation techniques, communicate results to team members, and measure the performance of predictions/impact.
  • Explore and evaluate new data sources to continuously improve models and algorithms.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the field of data science and share knowledge with the team.

What we are looking for

  • Over 8 years experience in data science, machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, risk analytics, operations research and statistics (in combination with related Masters/PhD programs)
  • Excellent data wrangling, data preprocessing, and data visualization skills
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL and knowledge of agile solution development principles
  • Hands-on experience with VSCode, Git, MLops, CICD pipelines, Azure cloud platform and Azure services such as Azure Databricks, Cognitive Services.( Azure certifications is a plus)
  • Strong partner management and project management skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location

Waterloo, Ontario

Salary range is expected to be between

$107,730.00 CAD - $200,070.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
