We Are Hiring: Data Scientist – Business Products

We are looking for a Data Scientist to work on our business products, including Perplexity Enterprise Pro, Sonar API, and Ads. As an early member of the Data Science team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our product direction and company strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing startup and help define the data science function. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering, product, sales, and business development teams to drive data-driven decision-making.
• Analyze user behavior to uncover insights that shape the product roadmap.
• Support Enterprise Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies with data-driven insights.
• Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests to validate hypotheses and improve our product.
• Define, implement, and visualize key business metrics, from feature-level KPIs to company-wide dashboards.
• Build data models and tables to enhance analytics efficiency and data accessibility.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a related role.
• Experience working on a B2B product.
• Expertise in SQL.
• Extensive experience building dashboards with BI tools (e.g., Omni, Mode, Hex, Looker).
• Strong sense of ownership and ability to thrive in open-ended problem-solving environments.
• Some experience with data modeling (e.g., dbt, Airflow).

Bonus

• Experience with B2B Go-to-Market (GTM) analytics.
• Familiarity with advertising data and metrics.
• Previous experience at a high-growth startup in an early-stage data science role.
• Hands-on experience with dbt and data engineering/analytics engineering.
• Experience with Snowflake.
• Comfortable using Python for data analysis.
• Machine learning experience.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $200,000 - $250,000 (final offer depends on experience and expertise).

Equity: Equity is included as part of the total compensation package.
