Full Stack AI Software Engineer

Location: Remote / On-Site

Compensation: $160,000 - $240,000 + Equity

Perplexity is looking for an experienced Full Stack AI Software Engineer to help transform the way people search and interact online. In this role, you'll turn cutting-edge AI advancements into impactful user-facing products.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate innovative product features powered by LLMs.
• Stay up to date on new AI capabilities from external LLM providers and in-house research.
• Enhance code quality, speed, and engineering processes for a seamless product experience.
• Collaborate with researchers, engineers, product managers, and designers to bring ideas to life.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills with full-stack expertise. Our stack includes Python, Next.js, TypeScript, Docker, AWS, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience optimizing and selecting AI models based on tradeoffs.
• Self-driven and proactive in taking ownership of tasks.
• Passion for delivering high-quality products.
• Proven experience working with LLM APIs and prompt engineering challenges.
• 2+ years of industry experience.
