Job Description

The Role

  • Develop and maintain a high-quality software for ML models including architecting and implementing code, preparing datasets, training models using one or more nodes of GPUs on various compute platforms, performing ablation studies, and packaging and deploying trained models to a variety of users.
  • Perform project management tasks required for delivery of successful ML model products including communicating, connecting, and cooperating on objectives, tasks, and timelines with various stakeholders.
  • Refine models and workflows by performing exploratory data analysis, interrogating scientific hypotheses, and rigorous model selection.
  • Participate in cutting-edge research in ML and applications to drug discovery and design.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across gRED to solve complex problems including developing models to predict antigen-antibody affinity and developability properties and to perform generative design.
  • Contribute to publications and present results at internal and external scientific conferences, workshops, and venues.

Qualifications

  • PhD. or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of work experience in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math, Physics, Chemistry, or related technical field
  • Experience in implementing equivariant neural networks and ML models for protein structure and/or design. Experience with implementing ML models for small molecules is a plus but not required.
  • Strong publication record in scientific journals and experience contributing to research communities, including conferences like NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, etc.
  • Strong Python and PyTorch programming skills
  • Intense curiosity about the biology of disease and eagerness to contribute to scientific and computational efforts.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of New York City is $158,100 - 293,500 of hiring range. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
